Meet the Team

From Penang to Ho Chi Minh. And now Bangkok. Sean Yeoh has seen plenty of homeless people and their daily struggles. When he was 7, a homeless man was spotted outside his house during a thunderstorm. When the Yeoh family spotted the man, they rushed inside to gather food and supplies, such as pillows and blankets. The man left the next morning. Sean had wondered what drove his family to do such a thing for a man they don’t even know. Eventually, he understood what it meant to struggle like the homeless, and he decided to do something.
Born and raised in Bangkok, Kate has grown up witnessing completely opposite standards of living all condensed within one city. While she is thankful for being raised in a privileged community, she is fully aware of the inequality in the city and of the conditions the poor suffer. A firm believer in fairness, she wishes to make her voice heard and more importantly make a positive impact on her community.
Half Australian and half French, born in Australia and raised in Dubai, and currently studying in Bangkok, Lucas joined the project as a way to increase his awareness of the the homeless issues in Bangkok and to help out. Lucas’s reason is because he often sees the neglection of the homeless in bangkok and the disgust that is accompanied with the looks of the locals, of which he believes the reason for is because they do not understand the struggles of the homeless and the challenges that they face everyday, of which some people will never have their whole lives.

Prior to his residence in Bangkok, Anselm lived in Jakarta, Indonesia. Due to his upbringings in a small town, the big city was always imagined as a place filled with wealth. He never imagined the poverty he saw in Jakarta. Although the poverty in Bangkok isn’t as bad, Anselm still saw how unfair it is for some to suffer while others could afford the basics. Something had to be done. And he knows how.

Ton believes that, as food and shelter are the two primary essential elements of life, it is important for every human being to have some form of these two things. In Bangkok his hometown, there are a large number of homeless people who wander around aimlessly asking for money in which they invest in food. Since these people do not get a large sum of donations, the quality of the food they get are low and therefore affects their well being through a knock on effect. His dream is to act as a helping hand to these people by dig deep into their lives and truly make a difference.
