CAS Project Day

Feb 8, 2015
1 min read

The 6th of February was our first chance to make a change, no, an impact on the school and introduce the school to our new CAS project development. In what was a fantastic development for the group, we raised a lot of awareness amongst the student body, attracting a wide variety of age groups, ranging from Year 7 students, up until Year 13 students. During the introductory session to the student body, we decided to inform our visitors about the project and what we are aiming to do to help the homeless. Other than this, we asked our visitors a simple yet thought-provoking question: “What would you do if you saw a homeless person?” Since the homeless community is often overlooked, this question was intended to trigger the issue of homelessness by making the students stop and think about the answer, even if it was for a split second. Some of the students even went on to suggesting what they personally thought should be done to address the issue of homelessness, which was really great to see. This was a very successful and promising beginning for our project!
